Threshold V – Inner Threshold
The Film Becomes World
The World as Lived
Aham looked at the room and called it simple. Asmi asked which memory had entered before his eyes.

Medium Marked
No one receives through empty glass.
Image is the field already marked by what leaves traces: memory, desire, fear, and culture. The first pulse moves, but in a human life it does not arrive in an empty medium. Memory leaves traces. Wound leaves traces. Fear and love, class and culture, all become part of the film. Like light through film, the pulse becomes visible as a particular world.

Lived, Not Invented
Projection is not private magic.
The world is not dismissed as fake. Mountains remain mountains, bodies suffer, and history wounds. A hungry child is not a metaphor and a polluted river is not an image. The world as lived is inseparable from the field through which it is received, a field marked by fear and desire, history and culture.

Story of I
The film gathers around a center.
The “I” gathers appearing into ownership. It says: this is happening to me; this belongs to me; this threatens me; this confirms my story. The cinema turns back on the one who seems to watch it, toward the apparent seer around whom the whole field of experience gathers coherence.

Past Arrives
Thought carries old material into the new.
Krishnamurti returns the cinema to exactness. Image, memory, thought, observer, conditioning, and projection are the mechanics of lived captivity. Memory reappears as perception. Image takes the place of encounter. The observer smuggles itself into the observed. Fresh perception becomes rare because the old picture arrives first.

Karma Without Judge
Karma is continuity of image.
Karma is not reward, punishment, cosmic bookkeeping, or moral accounting. It is the continuity of image through which the first pulse appears as a world. What has been formed tends to form again. Freedom begins when the image is seen as image and no longer operates entirely in secret.
Question
What old image keeps arriving as the present?
